We are a largely volunteer organisation providing transport facilities in the Waveney Valley particularly around Beccles and Bungay area and also the South Norfolk area that stretches from Harleston and Hempnall to Brooke, Loddon and Aldeby.  The organisation is operated on a non-profit basis with the aim of covering costs, and providing a continuing service in the area.  Bungay Area Community Transport was established in 1997.

In 2004, as a result of growing demands from a wider area the name was changed to its present one which recognises that the service extends to, and beyond, Beccles.

The manager of the organisation is Debbie Blowers.  She is assisted by Beth Adams, who organises the dial-a-ride service, and Keith Heward, who, with Beth Adams and Pauline Swinden, matches journey requests with driver availability.  Dawn Thrower is the finance admin officer.

Overall strategy and policy making is the responsibility of the committee, which consists of up to fifteen members.  New members of the committee are always welcome.
