Volunteers’ viewI enjoy helping people, and driving. Volunteering for Bact enables me to do both. PK Oct 2020 I feel rewarded, every day I go out driving people in my car – Mick Volunteering for Bact gives me a purpose in life, a reason to get up in the morning, and an opportunityto meet and help people. PJ Oct 2020 I have really missed seeing my passengers during lockdown. They have become friends over the years. I can’t wait to get back out in my car! MH 2020
I joined Bact as a volunteer driver as I became aware of the mobility issues both my in-laws and parents faced as they aged. Meeting older people I began to appreciate their life experiences, which were invariably tougher than mine. I have also met many younger people who have various mobility issues and have always been impressed by their positive outlook on life, which I hope has been shown in my Bact duties. In summary, it has been a very rewarding experience. Peter |

My social life has gone up a notch thanks to DAR. She telephone in to pass on her thanks and gratitude and said Barry was very kind and polite and had the patience of a saint for the length of time he had to wait for them! I would like to thank the drivers who were very helpful & friendly which made my trips more enjoyable. Your charity provides a very good, prompt service. I would like to thank you and all your driver’s for the past journeys I’ve had for my Radiotherapy, this is a great service and some really great guys as drivers. All journeys were on time, I have no complaints. Long may BACT continue and give other people the service I have been privileged to use, all the best for the future.
