Volunteers’ viewI joined Bact as a volunteer driver as I became aware of the mobility issues both my in-laws and parents faced as they aged. Meeting older people I began to appreciate their life experiences, which were invariably tougher than mine. I have also met many younger people who have various mobility issues and have always been impressed by their positive outlook on life, which I hope has been shown in my Bact duties. In summary, it has been a very rewarding experience. Peter I have really missed seeing my passengers during lockdown. They have become friends over the years. I can’t wait to get back out in my car! MH 2020 Volunteering for Bact gives me a purpose in life, a reason to get up in the morning, and an opportunityto meet and help people. PJ Oct 2020 I enjoy helping people, and driving. Everyone was so kind and helpful. VT Mrs K and her husband were take to the hospital yesterday by Barry. She telephone in to pass on her thanks and gratitude and said Barry was very kind and polite and had the patience of a saint for the length of time he had to wait for them! Thank you, your driver really helped me. They helped me to and from the shop as well as in and out of the car.
